Women Mountain Bike Strength & Nutrition Series
Learn how to fuel your play with 5 nutrition clinics while getting strong with your fellow riders twice a week
What you get:
12-Week Duration: We’re here to achieve real, measurable results, and those don’t happen overnight. For that reason, we ask for a 12 week commitment.
2x Weekly Small-Group Classes: Programmed and led by pros. 60 minutes of intentionally programmed movement and strength building. Enough to help you achieve real results, while not leaving you too sore or exhausted to get out there and ride.
Expert Guidance: No experience lifting? No Problem. Our classes sizes are small enough for you to get the individual attention you need to excel.
Discounted Care: Converge is a multifaceted clinic, offering services in Sports, Orthopedic & Pelvic Physical Therapy; plus nutrition and strength. Any PT or nutrition appointments you make during your WMTB Strength & Nutrition Series Season will be discounted 10%.
5 Nutrition Clinics

An introduction to the role that carbohydrates, protein and fat play in your body as a female mountain biker. We’ll review the what and why behind the foods we eat on a daily basis and dive into how to structure your meals to reflect your training volume and intensity. You’ll leave with the tools and knowledge needed to build your own Performance Plates.

We’ll dive into how to fuel before, during and after a mountain bike ride including specifics on types of foods, timing of foods, troubleshooting gut upset, hydration, and ways to optimize recovery. You’ll leave with tools and recipes to build your own fueling plan in order to optimize your time on the bike!

An overview of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) and common (and uncommon) signs and symptoms of an underfueled body. We’ll navigate how to look for these cues, reject food rules, give yourself permission to eat fully, honor your own body intuition, and navigate body image. This will be an open and honest convo that will leave you with a greater understanding of how incredible your body is and how to properly nourish it for life so that you can continue to play without limits!

This convo will cut through the noise and diet culture and give you the lowdown on the sport supplement industry. We'll navigate how to read labels, make smart and safe choices, and cover what supplements are actually shown to help improve performance on the bike (and which ones you should throw out).

Alyssa Hernke, M.Ed, CSCS
Alyssa takes a no-nonsense, periodized approach to programming, which means each workout builds on the skills and strengths of the previous. Alyssa designed the programming for SNOW PREP, and is the coach for most classes.
Alyssa loves introducing folks to strength training, so even if you have no experience —show up!
Colleen Shields, Registered Dietitan
Colleen challenges the way we’ve all thought about and approached nutrition, taking a personalized, weight neutral approach for her clients.
Through one-on-one counseling she’ll work with you to develop goals and tactics around your fueling.
Colleen is also a certified strength coach, and leads some of the strength sessions!

Nope! While this is a group class, it's still your class. Our coaches will help you to progress on your own terms with individualized adjustments and feedback whether you are a new or seasoned lifter. Classes are friendly for all levels

We’ll ask you to commit to one of our two time-slots: Mon/Wed at 5pm or Tue/Thur at 6:15am. However, we know that life happens! Check with your coach if you need to attend on one of the other days, and if there is room, we’ll make it work!

No. We ask for a 3-month commitment to ensure you get the results you came here for. Spots are reserved for those enrolled in the program, ensuring a cohesive experience for everyone. Occasionally, we may have extra spots available for drop-ins, but this isn’t guaranteed. If you’re interested in drop-in options, let us know, and we’ll notify you if spots open up.
